Get dressed right in five steps

Functionality is key - but for our clothes to give you the best possible hunting experience, you also need to use them properly. Here are some simple steps to help you dress smarter.

Prepare for variable weather

It's not only in spring that we in Scandinavia can experience real 'April weather'. Here, weather and temperatures can change in just a few hours. In spring and autumn, it's often cold in the morning, only to approach summer temperatures later in the day. To tackle these challenges, it is best to dress in several thin layers, which can be taken on and off as the temperatures change. Top it off with a scarf to keep out dew and other moisture.

Don't forget underwear

It may seem unnecessary in hot weather, but underwear serves an important function. Many people like to wear comfortable cotton clothes close to the body, but when you start moving around, they are no longer as comfortable. Cotton is one of the most moisture-absorbing materials in the world. This means that as soon as you get sweaty, the cotton fabric absorbs the sweat and the garment will feel cold. This is where the technical and functional underwear comes in. Instead of absorbing the sweat, the base layer transports all the moisture away and keeps you warm and dry all day.

Dress in several layers even when hunting in a sedentary way.

Dressing in several thin layers really applies to all types of hunting, and so it does on the pass. Often some physical activity is required to get to the place where the hunt is to take place. If you have dressed in thick layers from the start, you can quickly start sweating and it won't be long before you start freezing. On the other hand, you can put on a thicker mid-layer over your underwear once you're on the course and regulate the heat by taking the mid-layer on and off. Don't forget to choose the right accessories, such as warm hats, mittens and socks.

Choose the right clothes for the right kind of hunting

No matter what, where or how you hunt, we have clothing specifically designed for your type of hunting. Perhaps you hunt with a dog or spend most of your time on a pass? Whatever type of hunting you do, we can help you find the right one.

Taking care of your clothes

No matter how good the clothes are, you have to do your part too. Always follow the care instructions in the garments and, for example, never use fabric softener when washing garments with membranes. At Swedteam, we provide a guarantee on certain garments provided that the care instructions are followed and the garments are used under normal conditions. All garments have a limited lifespan, but if you take care of them properly, you will enjoy and benefit from your Swedteam garments for a long time.
