How to wash garments with membranes?
Many people believe that garments with membranes should not be washed, but to maintain the functionality and properties of the garment, regular maintenance is required. When sweat and dirt accumulate on the garment, it closes the pores of the membrane and makes the garment less breathable. To
maintain the function of the membrane, you therefore need to wash the garment frequently.
How to wash and treat
- Check the washing instructions. You will find all the information you need in our garments.
- Close zippers, buttons and fasten all Velcro straps before washing (preferably avoid spinning).
- Use unscented detergent and avoid fabric softener as it clogs the pores of the garment.
- After washing, tumble dry on a low heat, as the heat from the tumbler restores function to the garment.
- Impregnate the garment when it is dry. Use impregnating agents designed for breathable garments.
