Swedteam & Arxus of Sweden AB - New Managing Director
Swedteam & Arxus of Sweden AB is pleased to announce that Henrik Claesson will take over as the new CEO of the company. Henrik succeeds the current CEO Robin Segerqvist, who will continue to be the owner of the companies but will leave his operational role.
Henrik Claesson has a solid background in senior sales positions, with experience from the hunting industry and related sectors. His strong business drive is combined with a deep personal commitment to hunting - a passion he cultivates by spending around 50 occasions a year in the forest during the hunting season.
In addition to his operational and strategic experience, Henrik has a keen interest in all aspects of sales, including range development and product detailing - areas that are central to Swedteam & Arxus' business.
We are now facing a development phase where new skills are crucial to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future. Henrik Claesson's commitment, leadership and deep understanding of hunting and business make him a strong addition to the company's continued journey.
We warmly welcome Henrik to the Swedteam & Arxus family!

In 1919, Swedteam's textile factory opened its doors for the very first time, there and then in the deep hunting forests of Länghem. Since then, the textile company has been run by three pairs of brothers and later the Segerqvist family, who have almost 70 years of textile background - and the driving force is still the same as ever.
- It has always been to develop products and make sure we have the right commercial products in time," says Robin Segerqvist, CEO/owner of Swedteam.
When we meet Robin, he tells us that the main strength of a family business is the quick decision-making process where staff are involved for the best results. At Swedteam, quality is the key word and together they develop products that they can really stand for.
- This is also evident among staff, who are proud of what we are developing together.
You can really feel that textiles are in the walls of this long-established family business, which has just turned 100 years old. At Swedteam, the focus has always been on developing the right products that are in tune with the times. To succeed in this, the company has a development group and works closely with the hunting community.
- Our ambassadors are also our friends and we continuously have a close dialog with them early in the development to achieve the best results," says Robin Segerqvist.
And adds:
- It's not always the right function or solution because we think it on the drawing board - listening is essential to achieve something we can put our logo on.
Swedteam works according to a circular business model and wants to see their clothes last as long as possible.
- We wanted to switch our entire range to sustainable materials already in 2017 but discovered early on, after listening to the hunting community, that they were not ready. Today, however, we have a number of hunting stands made from sustainable materials.
- We're not stopping there. The longevity of our garments is something we're really committed to. We're happy to repair a customer's favorite 20-year-old garment, which is good for both us and the environment.
Sysalen - Swedteam's DNA
The clothes are made in the sewing room, a room that Robin calls the company's DNA and which will always be part of Swedteam.
- Where we are housed was originally a full-scale textile factory, and you can feel in the walls that this is how it should be. But being more circular and working sustainably is something that has influenced our decisions and the sewing room is a really important part that is here to stay.
And you're still sitting in the same place where it all began over 100 years ago. That must feel special?
- It's a story that's hard to grasp. But it's something I'm proud to show off, and the fact that we have over a hundred years of experience is something that should also be felt in the seams.
Important cog in the wheel
Now they're setting their sights on the future - and the vision is clear. Swedteam will continue to be developed by people.
- You will never be an employment number at Swedteam but an important cog in the wheel that turns every day, says Robin and concludes:
- We have no ambition to be the biggest, best and most beautiful, but develop on an individual level to achieve our goals together. We'll see what the next step is. There are ideas, but I'll keep them to myself!

RobQ Hunting Group, with the Swedteam brand in the group, is strengthening its offering in hunting and outdoor life by acquiring the boot brand Arxus of Sweden. The two companies are already established in 25 markets and through the acquisition, the ambition is now to grow further in the European hunting market.
- We have had our eyes on Arxus for many years and thought it would be a perfect addition to our brand portfolio. When Magnus was ready to sell the company, I didn't have to think twice. It will be great fun to develop the brand further together with Swedteam," says Robin Segerqvist, CEO and owner of Swedteam and the parent company RobQ Hunting Group, in a press release.
Arxus of Sweden was established in 2007 by Magnus Apler with the aim of developing boots for hunting and outdoor life of the highest quality and has achieved a strong niche position in the hunting and outdoor market in the Nordic region and large parts of Europe, a market the brand shares with Swedteam, which develops hunting clothing with a focus on technical features and innovative design. The two companies have previously collaborated on various projects and will now become sister companies. In connection with the acquisition, Arxus' operations will be moved from Brämhult to the Group's premises in Länghem.
With both brands under the same roof and a larger organization, the ambition is to take advantage of the synergies created to expand in the European market.
- "It feels very good to have Robin and the team at Swedteam in the work of developing Arxus to the next level to grow in the European market. The brands have a lot in common and with a new generation and a well-organized organization behind us, this feels like the right opportunity to hand over and let Arxus take the next step in a future development, says Magnus Apler, founder of Arxus of Sweden, who will continue to work with Arxus product development and production.
Offensive investment
The ambition to develop Arxus of Sweden is clear in the new owners' plans for the future.
- "This is an aggressive move on our part to develop the business and grow further. By combining our respective strengths, we will be able to offer even better products and services to our customers," says Robin Segerqvist.
And adds:
- The two brands and product portfolios complement each other very well. With our combined sales organization and agent network, we expect to be able to increase both Swedteam's and Arxus' market shares in the future.
